Registration for the 2025-2026 Winter Rugby Season is OPEN !

Welcome to the registration for the up-coming Youth rugby season (U8 to Middle School)! You will need to register with USA Rugby AND Lamorinda RFC; this from has a link to the USA Rugby process.

Before you start, make sure you have the following:

1. Head shot photo - must be a recent photo in color and show your player’s head and shoulders
2. Player’s information - the registration process asks for your player’s height and weight
3. Medical information - have your player’s primary care practitioner and dentist contact information and relevant medical insurance

After you have registered, you will also be asked to provide proof of age to NorCal Rugby (this will be done separately). Please note that NorCal Rugby will be strictly checking players are properly registered before they are able to play in NorCal events.

If you have more than one child in the Youth program, we offer a family discount of $50 per child after your first. To receive the discount you need to register all your children in one registration session. Click the “Register Another Player” option on the final review page to register each subsequent player.

NOTE: please do NOT use Internet Explorer.  Google Chrome works best.

PLAYERS UNIFORM

All Youth players (U8, U10, U12 and MS) players are required to purchase the club kit; for U8, U10 and U12 this kit will be used for practices and games. MS players should wear the kit for practice; separate game-day jerseys will be provided as needed on game day (players must purchase and wear club shorts and socks for game days).

High School players are not required to purchase club jerseys (they may do so if they wish) but must purchase club shorts and socks for game day.

Kit can be purchased from Soccer Post in Lafayette, 3400 Mt Diablo Blvd, Lafayette.

Please note that ALL players MUST have mouth guards to take part in contact training and games, these can also be purchased at Soccer Post (please note that rugby mouth guards must not have any parts outside the mouth).

Players who need to wear goggles for play MUST purchase USA Rugby-approved googles, which can be purchased here: https://www.raleri.com/shop/products/ProdottiIRBTrialApprovedGoggles.php
 

SEASON DATES

The Youth Season runs from Dec 2025 - Mar 2026 

Practices will be twice a week (once a week for U8) from the first week in December until the first week in March. 

December/January Practices

U8 - Wed 6:30pm - 8:00pm @ Wilder Field #1

U10, U12 & Girls - Mon & Wed 6:30pm - 8:00pm @ Wilder Field #1

MS Boys - Tues & Thurs 5:30pm - 7:00pm @ Wilder Field #2

February Practices

U8 - Wed 7:00pm - 8:30pm @ Wilder Field #1

U10, U12 & Girls - Mon & Wed 7:00pm - 8:30pm @ Wilder Field #1

MS Boys - Tues & Thurs 7:00pm - 8:30pm @ Wilder Field #2

CLUB DAY

Mark your calendar for our Club Day on January 10th at Wilder. We'll take our All Club Photo, have fun rugby exercises for the youth players (run by high school players) and there'll be high school rugby to watch (plus some alumni rugby too!). Be part of the Lamorinda Rugby community!

REGISTRATION PROCESS

You will need approximately 30 minutes to register.  Before starting a registration session, please have the following on hand:

Your player's REAL/LEGAL name!  When entering the player's information, please be sure to use the name which is on their legal document(s) (birth certificate, passport, etc.) as this is the only way to be verified to play by Rugby NorCal and USA Rugby.  

***Failure to follow this instruction may result in your child being ineligible to play in matches. ***

ID Head Shot Photo- A digital (JPG) photo which includes your player's head and shoulders.  It should have been taken within the last month.  The photo (JPG) must be in color and original.  Please do not scan, copy or take a photo of another document.  The background must plain white or off-white. NO glasses, hats or scrum caps.

Emergency contact information/Medical Information- You will need a primary doctor and dentist’s contact information.  You will also need your medical and dental insurance policy information.  We request updated emergency contact information as well as updated medical information each year.  This information is needed in the event that emergency treatment is necessary.

Family Discount -If you are registering more than one player in your family, you will receive a $50 discount for the second (and subsequent) child's registration fee.  In order for the registration system to recognize that your family is registering multiple players, please register all of your players in the same registration session.  On the Review Page, there is a link near the bottom to "Register Another Player" - please click on this link to ensure that all of your family's players are registered during the same registration session.

THE FEES LISTED ABOVE WILL INCREASE BY $50 FOR ALL YOUTH PLAYERS (U8 THROUGH MIDDLE SCHOOL) AFTER December 1st, 2025.

NOTE: The registration fees above exclude the Rugby Xplorer fees (USA Rugby and NorCal fees), which are required for players and the club to participate in Rugby NorCal events.
